Interested or Committed?

Are you interested in losing weight, or are you committed to lose weight? That’s a good question. Makes you think, huh?

In the past, I’ve talked about losing weight countless times. I’ve tried different methods to get there. But I haven’t followed through. I hit a bump in the road and take two (or more) steps back. It may start off as an interest, yes, but if I really want to see results – I have to be committed.

I’m going to stick with it, NO MATTER WHAT. Quitting isn’t an option.

100 DAYS OF WEIGHT LOSS, DAY 2

Eating is what I struggle with. That little switch in your brain that tells you when to stop stuffing yourself? It’s broken. I still don’t understand how my husband can literally have one bite of a cookie and set it down, leaving the rest for later. I will eat that cookie and 4 more, if they’re sitting in front of me. Sometimes I don’t even realize I’ve eaten the whole package until there’s nothing left but crumbs. And then I feel awful, which makes me want to reach for something else to eat to numb that guilty feeling.

Today was a busy day, and though I didn’t get any formal exercise in, I think I ate pretty well. continue reading
